A day among frozen waterfalls
On both programmes, one day takes us to East Lapland. In Korouoma canyon, about 110 km south-east of Rovaniemi, water running down the canyon walls freezes every winter into giant ice waterfalls. In the afternoon, in Ruka, there is Ruka Coaster, which glides down a snowy slope with views of the forest.

Frequently asked questions
If you cannot find the answer here, message me on WhatsApp.
Are the northern lights guaranteed?
No honest guide can guarantee them; the aurora is a natural phenomenon. I follow the weather and aurora forecasts, drive to where the sky is clearest, and the tour has no time limit. On the programmes, if we go out on an aurora night and come back without a single photo, I offer a second night free of charge.
What is included in the price?
Each programme page lists exactly what is included. In general, flights, accommodation, lunches and dinners and thermal clothing are not included. I am happy to recommend places to stay.
Will it be just our group?
Yes, I plan the programme and the guiding for your group only. On some tours, such as huskies and snowmobiling, you join the supplier's small groups.
What should we wear?
Layers: merino wool base layers, wool or fleece on top, and a wind- and waterproof jacket and trousers on the outside. Insulated boots, thick gloves and a hat are a must. Clothing is not included; winter overalls can be rented in Rovaniemi, and I will tell you where.
Do you pick us up from our accommodation?
Yes, pickup and drop-off at your accommodation in Rovaniemi are included. If you are staying far from the centre, write to me and we will work it out.
Can we come with children?
Yes, most activities are suitable for children. Some have age and height limits, so please tell me the children's ages at the start. Prices for children are calculated separately and are lower.
How do we pay?
50% of the total confirms the booking, and the rest is paid 30 days before you arrive. Both are paid by credit or debit card through a secure payment link. Your card details are never stored by us.
What if we need to cancel?
If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, half of the deposit is refunded; in the last 30 days there is no refund. That is why I recommend travel insurance. See the cancellation and payment terms for details.
What if the weather is bad?
In a storm, extreme cold or road closures, we move the activity to another day or to an equivalent activity. If that is not possible, only the activity that could not take place is refunded.
